A few years ago I started making maps for Heroclix. I first started unofficially, making them for myself, and friends to play on. We used them at our venue and actually played on them more than we played on the official Wizkids maps. This was before NECA was the owner.

I made full-size maps, printing them on my printer at home and cutting the 8.5×11 sheets and taping them together then laminating them to make the maps for us to play on. Large format printing was way too much money and I could make a new map each week. I was posting these maps on HCrealms as I finished them as well.

Eventually, HCrealms contacted me and we became Grid Reality, creating professional maps. This got the attention of Wizkids, now owned by NECA, and they contacted me for making their maps.

Now I make all their maps. And a lot I have made, the one thing I wish is that I had more time to make maps. Working my day job, family time, my own personal art time…leaves little time for map making. After making that statement you may think that I am trying to slow down a little bit. It’s far from the truth. I want to create more.

Here is a sample of the more I want to create. I am launching a Pateron site and from there people who would like to help me and benefit from my talent can take part in my journey. I will be making all kinds of maps, tiles, objects, 3D terrain and more for Strategy games and they will all be available there.

Coming in the next few weeks will be the starter pack that everyone will be able to get, and then my patrons will be able to new add-ons each week.
